EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Kris Alberti
As Executive Director of Northwest Independent Contractors Association and enjoys her various roles as manager, instructor, and mentor. She has over 20 years construction experience – working in commercial flooring, owning a general contracting company that builds spec, custom and green homes; in addition to a roof-truss manufacturing plant specializing in structural building components. In 2005, Kris transitioned into consulting for contractors and now is an OSHA 500 Safety, EPA's Certified Lead Renovator, OSHA's Disaster Site Worker, First Aid/CPR and Apprenticeship Instructor. Kris also teaches several NAHB courses, including Green Building and Business Management for Building Professionals.
Safety Professional Instructors:
OSHA 500/EPA CERTIFIED LEAD RENOVATOR INSTRUCTOR: Dale Yerabek
A General Contractor/Specialty Roofing Contractor for the past 20 years. Dale brings real-life, relevant
experience to his safety courses, specializing in ladder safety, fall protection, and respiratory protection programs.
OSHA 500/EPA CERTIFIED LEAD RENOVATOR INSTRUCTOR: Scott Christensen
A General Contractor/Specialty Painting Contractor for the past 14 years. He also has extensive retail management experience, with awards in performance and customer service. Scott brings real-life, relevant experience to his safety courses, specializing in ladder safety, fall protection, and respiratory protection programs.
OSHA 500 INSTRUCTOR: Geno Godfrey
A General Contractor/Specialty Contractor in commercial flooring. He also holds a Journeyman Laborers card. Geno is a regular instructor for NICA’s Soft Flooring Apprenticeship Program, along with teaching OSHA 10 classes, First Aid and CPR courses. Geno’s easy style and relatibility make a positive impact on his students.
OSHA 500 INSTRUCTOR: Vic Rasmussen
Retired after 30 years of service for the Department of Labor and Industries. Vic also worked as an Instructor at the National Fire Academy and as a consultant for numerous Fire Departments on Organizational Management capacity. Vic ‘s personable style and unique insight makes him a motivating safety instructor.
Curriculum Developers:
All NICA in-house staff has been trained in processes and techniques of developing training programs for third parties. Each staff member brings and blends their unique talents to NICA programs making them highly visual, interactive, and easily understandable for the end user.
OFFICE MANAGER AND INFORMATION TECH: Sheila Klokkevold
Has an extensive employment history in design, both graphic and interior. Her broad range of skills include product branding, graphic design, and web site development. Sheila has added her contemporary sense of style to NICA products and classes.
